Well, hello there! It’s been a hot minute (oh I don’t know, since last November) since my last blog post. I’ve missed writing! And I’ve missed you reader!

Life is Life

The holidays hit me hard, and the recovery was longer than expected. I had every intention to get the blog rolling again back in January but oh, I don’t know, here we are in the middle of March and I’m just getting back to things. Oof!

I know last year I set a goal of wanting to get so many posts done in a year (and I started off strong) and varying my content so I wouldn’t get burnt out writing and you all would have some variety as well. Sadly, between holidays and birthdays and family obligations, I fell off the wagon. And was lucky to get out those last couple of fall posts that I did in 2023.

To those who missed me (T & Ash 😜) I’m sorry for my absence! It was not intentional.

Do I have plans for 2024?

The short answer is…kind of?

I’m most active on Instagram but at the very end of 2023 I stated there that I’m not really setting hard goals for 2024. I decided to scrap setting a reading goal (okay technically on my Goodreads I did, but I set it to 1) I’m not trying to break any social media numbers , and likewise, I’m not setting a blog goal.

Is it still the dream? Yes, it’s still to blog full-time. But that’s difficult to achieve when I treat it like a hobby. And it’s difficult to transition from hobby to full-time when you have a full-time job already, familial obligations, a home to upkeep, animals to care for, etc. I’m sure many of you can relate to being mentally drained when you get home and just wanting to chill, to escape. To not have to think and produce for a second.

Another recent read, When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker

To those of you who have all that, and still manage to make your hobby into a profession…You’re an inspiration and I applaud you. I’m just not there yet myself.

So, instead of setting a blogging goal and thinking about Relyks & Wolfcraft as a possible job. I’m just going to treat it like the hobby it is.

I may not post every week. I may post more.

It’s not going to be just books, or even games, or movies. They’ll be the most prominent for sure, those are my passions. But I may throw in recipes, self-care, health & fitness, or well, whatever I want! Or I may not 😄 time will tell.

I hope you stick around to see! And if you don’t, no hard feelings. You do you!

See you around Reader

This was just a quick little “hello again” and to explain where I’ve been and what to expect (again, kind of) from me this year.

I’m looking forward to getting back to writing out reviews and gushing to you about my latest five-star read or trying to get you to binge the latest show I’m obsessed with!

It’s still Hazbin Hotel, and I’m still not sorry for it…

For the most “live feed” of me, I recommend you follow me on Instagram, as I still post there semi-frequently even when I don’t post a full blog reviews here. Plus I do post to my stories there and share some amazing bookstagram content from other bookish people. My Insta is hooked to Facebook/Meta (whatever the heck you wanna call it) but I rarely go on FB anymore.

Hope to see you around!

Until Next Time,
